No Doubt to Record New Stuff In 2008!
Rumours were flying around as early as last year that No Doubt would make a new record, but it's now pretty much been confirmed. Gwen Stefani has said that her latest album puts her on the 'yellow brick road' back to the sorta stuff No Doubt makes, and says that "The Sweet Escape" has sounds that No Doubt would record. But Adrian said on a post on the official No Doubt website that their next album won't neccesarily sound like TSE.

It's suggested that they will start getting together late this year due to Stefani's tour and album promotion and then start recording early next year. Fan's may have to wait a bit longer, but rather than wait you should soak up Stefani's solo efforts as TSE was the last solo album she is going to produce (at this point in time, anyway). Stefani is also said to be retiring within 5 years as she wants to become a full time 'mom.' Lets hope we see 2 or 3 more albums from her or the No Doubt team within that time.

This Week In The Charts.... & NEW LAYOUT!

EDIT: Congrats to the Fray! Their album reached #1 this week!
Unusual for this week... I tuned into the charts :o Reb... anyway. Before we get into the top 10 and such... we have a new layout! I never actually liked the one I had before (the iPod Robot) and I was digging the black one I had before and liked the dark colours... so I found another one. It's sorta weird, but it does ok. Hope you like it! Anyway...

This week in the charts (I only caught the top 10) we have a new top 10 entry! If you're a fan of "Good Charlotte" then keep reading! If you like "The Fray," "Nelly Furtado" or "Gwen Stefani" then you'll also be happy to hear that they have all made it into the top 10 as well. What's funny about Good Charlotte is that over in America they released a song called "The River" as their first single, while in Europe they released "Keep your hands off my girl" which is what the Aussies got as well. Anyway, on with the charts, movers and shakers and new entries!

#1 - Lips of an Angel // Hinder
#2 - The Sweet Escape // Gwen Stefani
#3 - How to save a life // The Fray
#4 - This Ain't a Scene, it's an Arms Race // Fall Out Boy
#5 - Say it Right // Nelly Furtado

#6 - Rock This Party // Bob Sinclair
#7 - Keep your hands off my girl // Good Charlotte
#8 - I wanna love you // Akon
#9 - Put your hands up for detroit - Fredde Le Grand
#10 - Hit me Up - Gia Farrell

It was a pretty average week, not many moves and not many shakes... hmm! But we did see a few shifts and I'm still hanging on with hope that Gwen's "Sweet Escape" will make it to number 1.

[In order of appearance in charts]

#7 - Keep Your Hands Off My Girl // Good Charlotte

#16 - Wait a Minute // Pussycat Dolls

#38 - All Night Long // Joel Turner

#43 - Beautiful as You // The Whitlams

#44 - Moonlight Party // Fonzerelli

#49 - Gallery // Mario Vazquez

*New* Gwen Stefani - 4 in the Morning [NEW SINGLE!]

It has been confirmed that trendsetter Gwen Stefani's 3rd single from TSE will be... "4 in the Morning!" This is one of the best songs on the album - up there with the ranks of The Sweet Escape, Wonderful Life, Don't Get it Twisted and Now That You Got it, but this one has a really soft beat and sound which match well with Gwen's vocals. This song will be probably be a big ballad, so get ready to hear it on your radio's. =)

*New* World Wide Woman - Beyonce
For those of you that don't know, Beyonce has re-done her new album "B'day" and made some new tracks. One of those is "World Wide Woman" a mid to fast-tempo song that doesn't really tickle my fancy. It could tickle yours, though. You can grab the song by clicking the link below.

*New* Rihanna & Nicole S - Winning Woman
Over in the US these two 'so-hot-right-now' artists have collaborated for their new deoderant commercial. They've released a special song entitled "Winning Woman." It's not what you'd expect from the lead "PCD" singer nor from the urban sounds of "Rihanna," but it has an alrightish beat. The chorus is ok, but overall it's not my type of song.
